Meet LeeAnne

Attorney LeeAnne Lynch is an experienced criminal defense attorney with over ten years of trial experience. LeeAnne Lynch specializes in serious felonies and cases involving allegations of child abuse and child sexual abuse.

Attorney LeeAnne Lynch is a 2004 graduate of Michigan State University, with a concentrated degree from the University’s James Madison College of Social Relations. She went on to graduate from  Georgia State University College of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 2007.

During her time at Georgia State University College of Law, she received the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award.  Attorney Lynch was also elected Student Bar Association President two years in a row.

In 2009, Attorney Lynch successfully completed the William W. “Bill” Daniel Trial Advocacy Program through the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  This intensive trial advocacy program submitted Attorney Lynch to rigorous training and peer review by prominent criminal defense attorneys.

Attorney LeeAnne Lynch challenged the Georgia Street Gang Act before the Georgia Supreme Court leading to a more defense friendly interpretation of the law.  Attorney LeeAnne Lynch was interviewed for a story in the New York Times because of her work on this appeal and her views on how it shaped Georgia law.

Since 2014, Attorney Lynch has been the lead attorney of DeKalb County’s Cases Involving Children Unit, defending men and women accused of crimes involving the alleged physical or sexual abuse of children.  She has successfully defended cases involving allegations of child molestation, statutory rape, cruelty to children, shaken baby, and child death.  Ms. Lynch has traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada to complete specialized training in defending child molestation cases with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Ms Lynch has over a decade of trial experience.  She specializes in defending serious felony cases including aggravated child molestation, rape, murder, armed robbery, burglary and aggravated assault.

Attorney LeeAnne Lynch is a member of multiple legal organizations.  From 2012 – 2013 Attorney Lynch was a member of the Joseph Henry Lumpkin American Inn of Court.  She has been a Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers member for over a decade.  She is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Ms. Lynch has received recognition in the legal community for her exceptional skill as a criminal defense attorney.  In 2015 Attorney Lynch Received the AV rating of Preeminent through Martindale Hubbell for excellence and professionalism as a criminal defense attorney.  In 2017 Attorney Lynch was recognized for ten years of distinguished service and dedication to the people of DeKalb County.

Attorney Lynch has been invited to speak to other attorneys.  In 2015 she organized and presented The Fall Seminar for the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  The presentation was called Race and the Law: Let’s Have a Conversation, and focused on racial disparities in Georgia law, a topic that is important to Attorney Lynch.

In 2016 she was invited to speak about defending allegations of child molestion to the Law Office of the DeKalb County Public Defender.  That same year, attorney Lynch was invited to speak at a statewide conference of criminal defense attorneys on the topic of defending allegations of child molestation offered through the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  In 2017 Attorney LeeAnne Lynch was invited to facilitate speakers on the topic of child molestation at the statewide indigent defense conference held Savannah, Georgia.
