Requirement to Register as a Sex Offender:
Being arrested and charged with a felony sex crime is terrifying, what most Defendants fail to realize is they are also facing a requirement to register as a sex offender for life. If convicted of an offense that requires registry, upon being released from prison and on your birth day you will have to register with the Sheriff’s Office in your county of residence. Failure to register is a felony and you will be arrested and prosecuted for failing to register.
